Summer
Hill is a young professional and partner of Fairbanks Riding in Lexington,
Kentucky.
A San
Diego, California native, Summer and her family relocated to Lexington Kentucky
with her family in 2015. Her passion for competition began at the age of four
in the Walk/Trot divisions. With trainers as parents she was on the fast track
to becoming a competitive rider.
During
her junior years, Summer rode in the Equitation under the guidance of Ken and
Emily Smith of Ashland Farms. She competed in Zone 10 in the Prix Des States at
the Pennsylvania National Horse Show. Summer was 8th in the 2015 Pessoa/USEF
Medal Finals.
Summer spent some time in Germany in 2017 as a working student
for Rolf Göran Bengtsson and Bo Kristofferson. What she learned helped prepare
Summer for life as a professional.
Summer won her first Grand Prix in 2019 aboard mount Light Show
during the first week of Country Heir. She then bested the competition again
the next week in the Country Heir II Grand Prix. She also had back-to-back
grand prix wins at the World Equestrian Center (Ohio).
Summer is in the top
25 on the USEF U25 list and multiple wins in the USHJA National and
International Derbies and championships in the hunter and jumper divisions.
